About
The LEGO Robotics Outreach Club (RoboClub) is a Faculty/Student run organization of the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Arizona. Its mission is to promote robotics, mechatronics, science and technology at all grade levels. Our current goals are:
- To develop cirriculum based on the LEGO Mindstorm NXT kits which meets the State of Arizona Standards for Science, Math and Technology.
- To volunteer in local classrooms to help educators teach the cirriculum, give demonstrations and encourage excitment about engineering.
- To encourage engineering from a young age and to encourage group problem solving.
- To persue research projects related to LEGOs for education and technology.
- To have fun with it!
We are hosted by the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Department, and our faculty advisor is Professor Eniko Enikov.
The LEGO Robotics Outreach Club started in the Summer of 2008.
