UA LEGO Robotics S.T.O.M.P. Halloween Workshop

Learn the basics of robotics through creating and programming LEGO NXT Halloween themed robots!

Create Creepy Crawly Creations and program them to trick, treat, or scare! Learn how sensors can be used to make a robot react to it's surroundings. Have fun while building your own Halloween creation, or control the robotic arm to pick out candy! These two and a half hour long session will be exciting and educational. Attendees will be taught the basics of robotics by University of Arizona Engineering Students using LEGO Mindstorm NXT kits.

• When: Saturday, October 25, 2008
• Morning Session: 10 AM to 12:30 PM - Robots aren't so scary: Beginning Robotics (Kindergarten through 3rd grade)
• Afternoon Session: 11 AM to 2 PM - Intermediate Robotics (4th grade through 8th grade)
• Where: The Univeristy of Arizona Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Building, Room S438 (Northeast corner of Speedway and Mountain) Link to Map
•  Cost: A $30 Donation is recomended. All donations go towards funding University Students to visit schools in our community, educating teachers and students in science, math and engineering aspects through the use of Lego Robotics.
• Sign up soon online or by mail(Deadline passed for Mail-In registration) (forms located below), registration is limited! Parents may attend and are encouraged to join the last half hour of the workshop for show and tell. Snacks will not be provided, but participants may bring a small snack for themselves if desired.
